An urn wreath with peach roses, red hypericum berries, yellow daisies, lotus pods, antlers, pampas grass, shot gun shells, and pheasant feathers surrounds an urn that looks like an old ammo case.

September 2023 Customer of the Month

Jill Knorr of Landers Flowers in St. Joseph and Savannah, Missouri shared these lovely photos of some of the urn wreaths their shops have designed with UrnTray's floral wreath tray.

An urn sets in an urn wreath using an UrnTray. The florals feature yellow sunflowers, peach roses, red lilies, red hypericum berries, and pampas grass with accents of cat tails, lotus pods, and antlers.

We love how they've personalized each one with items and themes that were important to the individual being honored.

Landers Flowers have done several designs in our floral wreath tray.

Jill said, "We've been loving the UrnTray because it allows for more product to be put into the piece in a stable way and much easier to transport than a ring. There's no way we could have gotten all this in with a foam wreath ring."

We're exited to hear that our tray is sturdy enough and can hold enough for florists to accomplish what they'd like to with the design.

A gold metal vase sets in a floral wreath using an UrnTray. The florals are blocked in white and blue with gold ribbons trailing out the front.

Here are some other beautiful designs Landers has accomplished with our floral wreath tray. These were all made with our standard, 12" x 12" tray with the 6" platform.

Two white ceramic cubes set in an un wreath using an UrnTray. The florals feature orange roses and lilies, white hydrangea, roses, and snap dragons, blue delphinium, with white ribbons trailing out the front.

This one is designed using our new, larger tray. Notice how she added some ceramic cubes on the platform to give you a better perspective for size. It fits an 8" X 10" urn. This larger floral wreath tray should be available for purchase on October 1st.

When asked about this particular design, Jill explained, "This sympathy piece was fun to make. The family used an ammo box to hold this outdoor man's ashes and asked for the fishing lures, feathers, antlers and shell casings to be incorporated."

Jill wanted to share a few tips that she learned while designing these themed urn arrangements in hopes that other florists wouldn't have to learn the hard way:

"1. Make sure you specify they need to bring shell casings only and do not bring live ammunition.
2. Limit the antler size. They should not bring in their prized buck antlers and if they do, I wouldn't recommend designing it as photographed. Antlers are heavy, foam can't support the weight if they're really big. That's why it's sitting in a cardboard box in the photo, I had to transport it with something sturdy underneath. Lesson learned.
3. CHARGE EXTRA FOR LABOR. Shouting this because it took 10 minutes to get the fishing lures tied onto the fishing line without getting them tangled. No one has time for that so charge accordingly."

Thank you, Jill for sharing your beautiful work! It's amazing to see how you've been able to incorporate such important details into your designs. Those details probably mean the world to the family and friends for whom the urn wreath arrangement was made. We are thrilled that Landers Flowers has enjoyed using our floral wreath tray and cannot wait to see what else you create with it!
